You would think that seeing that I’m the director, termite inspector, office girl and trench digger that this page would be pretty bare, however there is nothing I like talking about more than myself!

Damien O’Mara

I’m fully licensed and insured for pest control including timber pest in Queensland and NSW and qualified to install a number of products related to this industry. I’m experienced and ready to go!

Born and raised in Mackay, North Queensland, my first job was working for my father’s real estate (cleverly named Bernie O’Mara Real Estate) as a delivery boy for 2 hours a day after school.

I was fired nearly every fortnight and my brother Shane was then hired, then he was promptly fired and I was rehired.  This went on for a while. For a dollar an hour, why wouldn’t you keep on employing your sons!

(It was a good lesson in keeping costs down. Thanks dad!)

Office Work Not For Me

I left school and went to work in a Building Society, but office work was not for me so I got a part time job in a hotel.

I eventually left the building society for a job as a contractor in the coal mines of Central Queensland.

After a couple of years of that I thought I’d try my luck in the big smoke so I moved to Sydney. Bit too fast for me down there so I eventually moved to the Gold Coast in 1998.

I started doing Termite work with a friend who had a small business called Termipest. My official position was “Trench Digger”. Through Termipest I met Damian ( a fine name!) from Integral Pest Management and got my license for Pest Control.

Now its 7 years later and I’m enjoying the challenge of each day and take a lot of pride in being able to deliver the right solution for our clients.
